Here's the journey of an author from idea to bookshelf to bestseller:
Book marketing for new authors
1. Define the audience of your book – age and reading level-culture- location - values -
2. Write the book - (several steps involved) - plan - outline - write - revise -rewrite - edit - revise - proofread - submit - publish - market - monetize.
3. Edit and Proofread - (more than once)
4. Get reviews - (as many as possible)
5. Become an Amazon affiliate - (sell your book)
6. Join reading clubs like Goodreads -(strategize)
7. Place your book in other platforms - Amazon + Goodreads + Barnes & Noble ++++
8. Create an author website -
9. Create social media profiles
10. Raise awareness of the book- find your audience with social posts and hashtags.
11. Create a pre-sale landing page and share on social media profiles and posts.
12. Publish Press Release for the book.
13. Hold a pre-sale event at a local bookstore.
14. Launch on kindle and Amazon.
15. Launch on Ingram Spark. Lulu, and other platforms.
16. Continue social media interactions. (Blogging, Articles, Social posts)

Contrarily, if I feel stuck, then I must be content to stay where I'm at because here is where it's at. You see. There is something here that I must learn before I can proceed. So no matter how far away I go in search of that which makes me smile the most, I will always come back to the one where I left my smile dry.
